Didgeridoo

Green Didgeridoo are individually hand crafted by Sam David, and coated with all natural materials (which is very rare in the Didge making world). Most didgeridoos even traditional eucalyptus ones are coated with epoxy and polyurethane which never stops off-gassing toxic plastic fumes right up your nose. Even the the so called eco/food grade epoxy is super toxic and never stops releasing fumes into the air.

The stalks are made of agave or yucca that are harvest after they are dead and dried to perfection; stocks are hand picked from places that have literally thousands growing. They are chosen because they are the perfect pre cured shape, size, and hardness.
When creating the didg, a whole is burowed down the center of the stock with paddle extension bits, then the rest is burned out and sanded smooth on the inside. This keeps the structure strong and pure.

The name Green Didgeridoos comes from the fact that they are sustainably harvested and are all coated on the inside with green clay mixer that Sam personally harvests on the coastal cliffs of Southern California. The coats are pored down the inside with many layers coated till it’s a thick hard inner wall  that gives it strength and durability; then sanded smooth. After the clay coating is dry, both the inside and out are coated with with Shellac. Shellac is a resin secreted by the female lac bug on trees in the forests of India and Thailand.

It takes a month for the clay and shellac to cure before the hardwood mouthpiece is made and cut down to tune them into the key desired. Then they are coated with with four more coats of Shellac, sanded smooth and coated with mineral oil.

These didges are super durable and can resist dry climates to humid wet climates. Because the yuccas are cured on the plant in the sun without any cracks and has the green clay on the inside, it makes them super strong and last forever. The sound is strong and earthy and easy to play. Green Digeridoo are made in the full range of all the keys A-G; also in 432Hz if requested.
